It’s time for another Mitsuwa food fair. This fair features food from Hokkaido and guest stars two ramenyas:
Ramen Shingen with their “KokuMiso Ramen” (black miso ramen), simmered for over 100 hours (!). Available at:
Mitsuwa Torrance: Thurs. to Sun., 9/16 to 9/19
Mitsuwa New Jersey: Thurs. to Sun., 9/23 to 9/26
Komaoka Ramen, and their “KaraMiso Ramen” (spicy miso ramen), from Sapporo, Hokkaido. Available only at the Costa Mesa location, Thurs. to Sun., 9/16 to 9/19.
The wait during lunchtime in Torrance was over 20 mins on Saturday (once you’d placed your order). The char shu was excellent, but sadly you only ogt a single piece with your bowl. Considering the nearly $10 price per bowl… it was good, not great.
@B. Thanks for the info. Even at $10, I think I’ll have to check it out next time.
I love ramen. I think it should be as popular internationally like McDonalds! 🙂
@Elsie: slowly, slowly we’ll get there! 😉
